It's gone from 98% to 100% in only a few weeks. Ladies and gentlemen the new Slipknot album is complete according to sources at The Pulse of Radio. The currently untitled album marks Slipknot's first studio album to not include late bassist Paul Gray and also the first album to not feature drummer Joey Jordison. (Yes, Joey was replaced and we will get to that.) Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor recently spoke with HardDrive host Lou Brutus about recording the latest album without Gray and Jordison. It was interesting. We knew it was gonna be heavy. We knew it was gonna be one of those things where it's like, 'Okay, we're in uncharted territory right now, so what do we do?' You know. And Jim and Clown really stepped up, you know. They kind of started leading the charge and really getting stuff together. So by the time we really got into the studio, we had a really great template of music to check out. You've got the gorgeous melodies and the artistic direction of 'Vol. 3' and then you've got the absolute brutality of 'Iowa'. And I think people are gonna lose their minds when they hear it."
